Account Executive

About the role
We are looking for an Account Executive to join our dynamic team at Pendang Nursery Sdn. Bhd., a leading provider of high-quality nursery in Alor Setar, Kedah. As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing our day to day transactions, ensuring timely updates of our accounts and contributing to the overall growth of the business.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare full set of accounts for companies & its subsidiaries, especially on Accounts Receivable, Maintenance of various Deposit accounts (receivables and payables), Contra accounts, Accruals, Advances, Trade & Sundry debtors and the Fixed Assets Register.
• Prepare Journals, Bank & Deposit reconciliations & Maintain Fixed Asset Register.
• Coordinate with all members for prompt and accurate closing.
• Administer the Petty Cash.
• Assist Auditors in matters pertaining to the closing of accounts.
• Prepare timely monthly Financial Reports.
• Handle Secretarial matters pertaining to the arrangement of delivery & signing of documents and following it through with the Company Secretary.
• Enter payment/receipt vouchers of the transactions on daily/monthly basis, e.g., Invoices, claims, payroll, receipts, etc.
• Prepare monthly P/L & Management Report.
• Daily cash monitoring whenever required.
• Ad-Hoc assignments when necessary.
• Liaise with bankers, suppliers, and auditors.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing to support all accounting entries.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an account management role;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, with a focus on delivering tailored solutions;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with using Cloud-Computing Accounting System (SQL or Autocount or relevant);
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving results;
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
