Job Overview:

The Dental Surgeon Assistant supports the dental surgeon in delivering high-quality care by preparing for procedures, ensuring efficient patient management, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Support:
• Assist the dental surgeon during procedures, including surgical, restorative, and preventive treatments.
• Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment needed for procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs.
• Provide chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort and the smooth execution of treatments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Greet and prepare patients for their appointments.
• Explain procedures and aftercare instructions to patients.
• Manage patient anxieties and provide reassurance during treatments.

• Sterilization and Maintenance:
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments following clinic protocols.
• Ensure treatment rooms are clean and prepared for the next patient.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels for supplies and materials.

• Administrative Duties:
• Schedule follow-up appointments as directed by the dental surgeon.
• Manage patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless clinic operations.
