Drive operations execution and transformation as part of our VF Asia business, working closely with Global Sourcing, Planning, Supply Chain, and Brands across VF.
Oversee and execute the movement of VF Finished Goods, collaborating with multiple Logistics Service Providers to ensure best-in-class delivery against KPIs (e.g., booking timeliness, cargo release timeliness, origin dwell, systems update).
Be a key member of the operations team, managing the movement of finished goods and raw materials from all Asia origins to the rest of the world, including VF DCs and customer directs for ~25,000+ containers and 15M kgs. of air cargo annually.
Support the Logistics Operations Manager in evolving the logistics and trade compliance teams in Malaysia in terms of capability and scale.
Principal Accountabilities:
Contribute to the design and implementation of daily processes for all origin and outbound product flow from Asia, focusing on cost reduction, cross-country and multi-country consolidation, business analysis, and leveraging logistics technology and visibility platforms.
Build and develop collaborative partnerships with Global Sourcing, Global Logistics, and Brand to meet overall brand/business needs by analyzing, developing, and implementing effective and efficient product movement.
Maintain relationships with external partners, 3PLs, and transportation vendors to ensure effective procedures and processes are executed to meet business needs.
Drive Logistics Partners to execute to the highest standards of delivery, ensuring timely and cost-efficient movement of VF Finished Goods and Raw Materials.
Host and drive regular operations meetings with Logistics Partners, ensuring high KPI attainment, problem identification and resolution, and planning future strategies and actions.
Utilize and propose improvements for all logistics systems activities to support the digital platform, providing timely and accurate visibility to all functional teams, including Sourcing, Customs, Finance, Fulfillment, and Customer Service.
Enforce control-related standards and procedures for all origin logistics, raw materials, and finished products to maximize efficiency, including Trade Compliance management and the Vendor compliance program.
Manage the origin Logistics Data Analytics team to drive standardized process controls, reports, and metrics.
Improve Vendor (Supplier) shipping activities through education, measurement and metrics monitoring, coaching, and site visits.
Collaborate with the Global Trade Compliance Team to ensure the highest standard of document and customs compliance and corresponding controls.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Vendors to ensure compliance with VF policies relating to shipment and transportation.
Participate in resolving business practices to enable change and improved performance for transportation, factories, and logistics in the Asia Pacific region.
Overcome challenges in optimizing KPI management and drive optimized product flow, efficient carrier network, and timely flow of all import documents by collaborating with all partners, Central Procurement, and Inbound teams from NORA, EMEA, and APAC.
Serve as a dynamic and visible partner who positively impacts collaboration and cooperation for team and cross-functional peers.
Be a role model for both Logistics and cross-functional partners, demonstrating ways to leverage logistics insights to drive improvement across the supply chain.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
Proven experience in international logistics operations in air, ocean, and 3PL environments.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related area preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and systems knowledge.
