Duty Manager (Golf, Driving Range & Customer Service)

The Duty Manager (Golf, Driving Range & Customer Service) is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the golf course, driving range, and customer service areas to ensure an exceptional experience for golfers and guests. This role includes managing staff, maintaining facilities, addressing customer needs, and coordinating with various teams to deliver seamless service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Golf Operations Management
    • Supervise daily golf course operations, including scheduling of tee times and ensuring smooth course activity.
    • Address on-course issues such as delays, player concerns, or course conditions promptly.
    • Assist with golf tournaments, managing logistics such as player registration, setup, and execution.
    • Oversee golf cart operations, ensuring proper maintenance, charging, and availability.
  2. Driving Range Management
    • Oversee daily operations of the driving range, ensuring cleanliness, functionality, and safety.
    • Monitor and maintain equipment, such as ball dispensers, mats, and lighting systems.
    • Ensure an adequate supply of practice balls, coordinating with staff for collection and cleaning.
    • Address customer needs at the driving range, such as equipment rentals or technical issues.
    • Implement promotions or packages to encourage use of the driving range and improve revenue.
  3. Customer Service
    • Lead by example to ensure all staff deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and resolve issues efficiently.
    • Train staff on customer service excellence, ensuring consistent and welcoming experiences for all guests.
    • Monitor customer satisfaction through feedback channels to identify and address areas for improvement.
  4. Team Management
    • Supervise and schedule staff across the golf course, driving range, and customer service areas to ensure proper coverage.
    • Conduct daily briefings to align staff with operational and service priorities.
    • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and take disciplinary action as needed.
  5. Facility & Equipment Management
    • Conduct regular inspections of the golf course, driving range, clubhouse, and customer service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and functionality.
    • Coordinate with the maintenance team to address facility or equipment issues promptly.
    • Oversee inventory management for driving range balls, golf shop merchandise, beverages, and other amenities.
    • Monitor revenue and expenses for the golf course, driving range, and customer service operations.
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and implementing cost-control measures.
    • Ensure accurate handling of cash and financial transactions.
  6. Event Coordination
    • Assist in planning and executing golf tournaments, corporate outings, and other events, including driving range-related activities.
    • Work with the marketing team to promote events, lessons, or driving range packages.
    • Manage logistics for events to ensure smooth operations, from setup to teardown.
  7. Safety and Compliance
    • Enforce safety protocols and regulations across the golf course, driving range, and customer service areas.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, training staff on emergency procedures.
    • Maintain proper lighting, signage, and access control for the driving range during evening operations.
