Job Title: Driver / Street View Driver Operator

Duration/Job Type: 1-2+ Months Contract with a possible extension

Location: Putrajaya, West Malaysia

Job Description:

Mapping Technical Operator & Navigator Responsibilities:

1. Operate mapping vehicles with care and attention, abiding by all traffic and highway rules.
2. Use navigation software and other applications as instructed to follow routes.
3. Work effectively as part of a larger mapping team.
4. Interact with other operators, Drive Coordinators, and members of the public in a professional manner.
5. Follow the rules and work missions as requested by the Regional Managers.
6. Work occasional evenings and weekends.
7. Complete daily checks on the vehicle and equipment and notify the manager of any issues.
8. Operate carefully, especially regarding the equipment on the vehicle, such as knowledge of the height of the vehicle and being mindful of low-hanging objects such as trees.
9. Protect the equipment and vehicle by always parking the vehicle securely.
10. Follow security protocols and instructions from managers.
11. Maintain confidentiality of the project and the data collected.
12. Maintain required logs as set forth by the Regional Manager.
13. Operate and monitor the sensor equipment daily in the mapping vehicle.
14. Troubleshoot equipment issues.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Be a Malaysian citizen, Legal Residence Card, or a Working Visa with no restrictions (no Student Visas accepted).
2. A valid operator's license to operate in any valid state.
3. Ability to manage time effectively.
4. Ability to work well in a team.
5. Ability to listen to managers and complete tasks efficiently.
6. Basic technical familiarity with maps, phones, and tablet computers.
7. Be able to logically follow technical instructions.
8. Good understanding of the Malaysia road network.
9. Be a good communicator and be able to complete reports for managers.
10. Strength to lift up to 50lbs, plus bending and twisting.
