Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid, Onsite #LI-Onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solution Business based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
- Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand their needs, promoting their understanding of ABB’s complete product/systems/services offering, and aligning with them to provide a solution.
- Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
- Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicating value proposition to customers.
- Communicating to the customers about details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB’s offering and strategy.
- Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting cash collection and project management activities, when needed.
Qualifications for the role
- Fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or maximum 1.5 years of relevant working experience in sales, particularly in electrification or related market.
- Understanding/knowledge of market trends and product life cycles in the electrification business.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to solve complex problems.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and engagements.
- Self-motivated, growth-oriented, driven, tech-savvy.
- Proficiency in English and ease in communicating with customers to understand their needs and promote ABB's products/services.
