The Director of Sales oversees day-to-day sales efforts of Assistant Director of Sales, Account Directors, Senior Sales Managers, and Sales Managers with specific responsibilities for directing sales, training, and implementing action plans, under the general guidance and supervision of the National Director of Sales.

What will I be doing?

Position Statement: Responsible for leading a team of sales professionals to drive success in the MICE segment across Hilton’s portfolio of Malaysia hotels.

Position Summary:

  1. Responsible for country MICE business segment strategy and execution.
  2. Leading a team of sales professionals, ensuring alignment and focus on performance.
  3. Ensure Hilton maintains top-of-mind positioning by effective sales coaching and account development.
  4. Key Account Management of assigned portfolio/segment both in Malaysia and all source markets as assigned by the National Director of Sales.
  5. Provide considered opinions and actionable intelligence to relevant stakeholders to support the country’s commercial success.
  6. Nurture and maintain country-level representation with the Hilton Worldwide Sales teams in key source markets.
  7. Effectively represent Hilton’s country network in approved relevant tradeshows, sales initiatives, and events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3 years’ experience in leading a high-performing sales team on/off property.
  2. Good English reading and writing skills essential to meet business needs.
  3. Highly creative and able to bring unorthodox ways of working.
  4. Able to manage multiple stakeholders and operate in a highly dynamic environment.
  5. Good communication skills, knowledge, and ability to deal with crises.
  6. Articulated and eloquent in presenting ideas and concepts.
  7. Commercial experience in setting overall business objectives, and action plans relevant to market is highly advantageous.

Qualification Requirements:

  1. Diploma in Hospitality or Business.
  2. 3 years’ experience in leading a high-performing sales team on/off property.
  3. Highly creative and able to bring unorthodox ways of working.
  4. Able to manage multiple stakeholders and operate in a highly dynamic environment.
  5. Articulated and eloquent in presenting ideas and concepts.
  6. Commercial experience in setting overall business objectives, and action plans best suited to the market is highly advantageous.
  7. Good English reading and writing skills to meet business needs.
