Overview
The Digital & Brand Activation Lead partners with coach to lead digital marketing strategies for 3- and 5-year brand plans, working with sales and MDs. Develops and monitors 12-month digital marketing plans to drive sales, EBITDA, and brand growth across MRO, Automotive, Industrial, and DIY channels.
Supports Brand Development Projects from concept to execution, aligned with ARO’s Strategic Plan. Enhances the ARO Marketing Planning process in the Asia region, collaborating with BDM, RMs, and MDs.
Provides marketing support across the Marketing Mix, including Advertising, eCommerce, Trade Marketing, Promotions, and PR. Builds 3rd party relationships and supports omni-channel activation. Manages the A&P budget and ensures all expenses are tracked and within limits.
What You’ll Be Doing
Digital Marketing and Asia Websites Management
- Strategic Vision: Translate and implement global digital marketing strategies for Asia Marketing Distributors.
- Social Media Leadership: Develop and manage social media plans and metrics for all Company brands.
- Content Creation: Lead the creation and distribution of digital assets (product imagery, specs, videos, descriptions, social media content, SEO keywords).
- Training and Development: Enhance distributor competencies in brand marketing, digital & eCommerce. Provide training as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure global legal and intellectual property compliance.
- Digital Marketing Execution: Implement brand story and marketing campaigns at online points of sale.
- Collaboration: Work with Global Brand Team & IT Team on digital marketing initiatives and lead implementation within ASIA MDs.
- Budget Management: Monitor budgets, forecasts, plans, programs, measures of success, and ROI for digital marketing.
- Website Management: Oversee the creation of WD-40 Asia websites, ensuring content is up-to-date and relevant.
Brand Activation
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and monitor brand/product plans to achieve sales, EBITDA, and growth objectives.
- 5-Year Strategic Plans: Maintain long-term plans for all brands.
- Marketing Communications: Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and legal requirements.
- Promotional Activity: Measure effectiveness of promotional activities.
- Asset Creation: Create key assets to support brand and channel strategy.
- Project Management: Manage advertising, promotions, shows & events, sampling, POS development, digital activation projects.
- Creative Briefs: Develop briefs for business initiatives and manage agency partners.
- Funding Proposals: Assist in gaining extra funds for marketing activities.
- Skill Development: Enhance MD product knowledge through various learning experiences.
- Content Distribution: Develop and distribute marketing materials for web-based self-learning.
- Trade School Program: Lead trade school program and marketing development.
- Marketing Strategies: Develop strategies for MDs in individual markets.
- Annual Marketing Plan: Prepare and enhance annual Marketing Plan for ASIA MD’s.
- Central Repository: Maintain up-to-date brand and corporate guidelines.
- Market Research: Support market research and due diligence.
- Regional Meetings: Plan and execute regional meetings.
- A&P Fund Investment: Monitor and report marketing expenditure.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- 3-5 years' experience within an international consumer brand, commercial business environment.
- Experience in leading the development of marketing plans, collateral development, and tactical execution (P&L proficiency, special pack project management, forecasting, etc.).
- Proven track record in managing multi-channel marketing campaigns from concept through to execution, including digital, print, experiential, and social media.
- Strong background in digital marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, content creation, and SEO, as well as knowledge of eCommerce platforms and tools.
