Diesel mechanic (Formen)

About the role

VRC Holidays Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic (Foreman) to join our team in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. As a full-time Diesel Mechanic (Foreman), you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are kept in optimal working condition.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising a team of diesel mechanics and technicians to complete all necessary repairs and maintenance on our vehicles
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Performing scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, inspections, and tune-ups
• Ordering parts and maintaining inventory to ensure the workshop is well-stocked
• Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations
• Providing guidance and training to junior mechanics to develop their skills
• Maintaining detailed records of all work completed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driving license and experience driving heavy vehicles
