DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure and automation processes that power our cloud-based applications. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, system experts, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployments, high system availability, and continuous improvement of our DevOps practices.

This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across the full software delivery lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate in designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
2. Contribute to the development, optimization, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
3. Assist in deploying and managing containerized applications using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
4. Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.

Required Experience & Skills:

1. 2 year experience of software engineer role
2. Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate tasks and processes.
4. Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces.
5. Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS).
6. Basic knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
7. Foundational experience or coursework in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, or system administration.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves):

1. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
2. Basic understanding of distributed event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
3. Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, Redis, or similar.
4. Awareness of cloud security principles and best practices.
5. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Logstash, OpenSearch, Grafana).
6. Knowledge of microservices architecture and its implementation.
7. Fluent in speaking, reading and typing in both English and Mandarin.
