Our Client, a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, is looking for Consultants to be part of the project. The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralizing, and standardizing technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches. The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia. The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities

• Key responsible tasks include performing regular System refresh & Client copy from heterogeneous systems under tight project timelines.
• Responsible for daily system health checks & performance tuning of worst performing SAP Jobs.
• Work with the development team to understand the application requirements from software and infrastructure point of view and suggest/implement suitable system environments.
• Troubleshoot performance-related issues and find solutions in collaboration with the development team.
• Collaborate with other infrastructure teams like administrators, DBA, OS team, and Networks team to complete tasks as per the schedules.
• Perform application DR testing; automation of DR scripts is mandatory.
• Guide junior staff and take responsibility for deliverables.

SKILLS

Must have

• 3-5 years of experience.
• Good knowledge of SAP Basis Management in an ECC6 platform.
• Technical & administration knowledge in SAP ECC6, SAP Solution Manager, TDMS & SAP S4 HANA system.
• Extensive hands-on experience on all aspects of SAP Basis Administration tasks like Client-Copy, System Refresh, Support Pack upgrades, Kernel Upgrades, Plug-Ins & Add-on installations, applying OSS Notes, etc.
• Attend to requests from the Application team related to Infra activities such as Database restoration/Database backup.
• Facilitate Promotional Tasks (SIT-UAT-PRD).
• Perform health checks on the Application servers/Database on a daily basis.
• Good knowledge of SAP DB upgrade activities.
• Good knowledge of analyzing system errors & ABAP dumps.
• Knowledge of User Administration using SAP standard t-codes, CUA, or IDM.
• Working knowledge of SAP Patch upgrades & monthly/Quarterly Unix OS Patching activities.
• Able to work independently on standard SAP authorization tasks.
• Good ABAP knowledge of working on a highly customized SAP system.
• Experience in ECC6 Greenfield, Brownfield transformation projects to S4 would be an advantage.
• Aldon setup for the new servers to maintain source code versioning.
• Job Scheduling using BMC Control-M scheduling tool.
• General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office with expert level knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of MS Access.
• Performed Unix, Oracle DB Security Patch & database Hardening.
• Prior experience in SAP ECC6 with AIX platform.
• Hands-on experience in the Oracle 19c Database maintenance & management.
• In-depth experience in Unix operating system, Oracle DB.
• Good knowledge of server hardware in VM and Physical server environments.
• Proficient with Batch & Power Shell scripting.
• Experience in Performance tuning of queries in ORACLE.
• Quick learner - Gain working level knowledge in any new tools and technology as needed in Finance department.
