1. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Strategic Projects
Lead financial assessments and risk analysis for potential mergers, acquisitions, and corporate exercises.
Support M&A activities by participating in financial and tax due diligence, evaluating business cases, and contributing to integration planning.
Partner with business units to identify, analyze, and evaluate investment opportunities.
Provide strategic advisory on corporate initiatives and assess their financial implications for the Group.
2. Strategic Evaluation and Planning
Build and maintain robust financial models and perform scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Deliver insights on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential growth avenues.
Ensure investment strategies are aligned with corporate objectives and regional expansion plans.
3. Risk Analysis
Conduct comprehensive risk and sensitivity analyses to evaluate the financial impact of key business decisions.
Support the development and execution of risk mitigation strategies to manage financial exposure effectively.
4. Financial Analysis and Reporting
Oversee financial data consolidation and content review for the Group’s Integrated Annual Report (IAR).
Prepare quarterly financial highlights for Analyst Briefings, including compiling Group orderbook data and drafting responses to analyst and shareholder queries for AGMs.
Review and analyze business unit performance through monthly rolling forecasts, identifying variances and proposing corrective measures.
Lead scenario planning and simulation for upstream dividend flows from subsidiaries, including preparation of dividend declarations to UEM Edgenta Berhad.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to key internal and external stakeholders.
5. Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to facilitate strategic transactions.
Provide financial management and tax-related support for international operations, particularly in the Middle East region.
Present clear, data-driven financial recommendations to senior leadership.
Cultivate strong working relationships with business units, investors, and key stakeholders to protect and advance organizational interests.
Foster effective cross-functional collaboration to drive business success.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
Minimum a total of 8 years working experience with 4 to 6 years in corporate finance, corporate development, strategic planning, and M&A.
Professional qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CFA or any other equivalent qualification.
Good understanding of local and international financial regulations, industry practices, and market trends.
