Deputy Plant Manager

The Deputy Plant Manager at OCI TerraSus Sdn Bhd will assist the Plant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance within the plant. This role involves managing resources, coordinating with various departments, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the Plant Manager in strategic planning and execution of operational goals.
2. Assist in managing plant operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
3. Oversee and coordinate the activities of different departments, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance.
4. Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and corporate policies.
6. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in processes, equipment reliability, and workforce efficiency.
7. Prepare and present operational reports and forecasts to the Plant Manager and other stakeholders.
8. Train and mentor staff to foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
9. Act as a liaison between the Plant Manager and plant staff, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

1. Master or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant operations or manufacturing management, with progressive leadership roles.
3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and resource management.
4. Proven track record of driving operational excellence and implementing process improvements.
5. Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance.
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
8. Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
