About the role
This exciting full-time opportunity as Deputy Manager - Quality Control Analytical at Biocon Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru, Johor offers you the chance to play a key role in the company's quality assurance and control processes. As part of the QCA team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of the company's products through rigorous testing and analysis.

What you'll be doing

1. Handle out of specification results with proper investigation as whenever require.
2. Prepare annual & forecast budget in the section/department for purchasing of new equipment, chemicals, standards, consumables and manpower etc.
3. To assist team in writing of the response related to Query from Agency.
4. Assist in preparation and continuous improvement of all relevant SOPs, EOPs specification and ensure those procedures are revised and updated in accordance to stipulated interval and as per cGMP requirement / latest pharmacopoeia.
5. Assist in the evaluation and improvement of analytical procedures, SOP’s and specifications.
6. To ensure that quality document and specifications updated in a timely manner according to Compendial or In-House method as per regulatory requirement.
7. Ensure successful Method Transfer activity completion for the new methods being received in QCA laboratory or Methods being transfer to other laboratory.
8. Ensure successful Method Validation activity for all the methods being used for testing of sample in QCA laboratory.
9. To monitor, planning and responsible to all activities in IP / FP / RM / Validation lab section of QCA Laboratory.
10. Ensure the proper housekeeping and cleanliness in maintain in QCA Laboratory.
11. Check and review all related analytical data such as products specification, test procedure and method transfer from RND document.

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in a quality control analytical/QCA role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
