Deputy General Manager (FMCG)(Local Sales)

  • Ensure the overall company's sales operations are aligned with business goals, driving growth and maintaining a competitive edge in the local market.
  • Setting clear and measurable sales targets/objectives for the sales team.
  • Ensure sales targets are met by driving sales performance, analyzing trends, and using data to refine strategies.
  • Identify new business opportunities in both existing and untapped domestic markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, and partners to drive long-term business success.
  • Oversee and manage key account, food service and business support team by driving sales in the respective area, and providing critical business support to ensure the efficient execution of business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Lead and drive sales force team to execute the company’s sales plans effectively and foster a high-performance culture. This involves setting sales performance expectations, providing coaching/mentoring/training, and ensuring that sales targets are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of sales strategies.
  • Provide sales reports, market insights, feedback, and competitive intelligence to relevant stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Recommend strategic initiatives and action plans to optimize sales performance and drive business growth.
  • Manage sales budget and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently to achieve sales targets.
  • Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Food Science or related fields.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant working experiences in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets, managing large teams, and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to travel locally.
  • Proficiency in using DMS (sales management software) and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of FMCG industry dynamics and consumer behaviors.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strategic business relationships with customers to drive sales growth and secure profitability business.
  • Strong leadership qualities with focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
