Join our dynamic team as a Deputy Chief Finance Officer (DCFO), where you'll partner closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive financial excellence and strategic decision-making. This pivotal role offers a compelling opportunity to lead and innovate within our finance department, contributing directly to our organization's growth and success.

In this role you will:

• Collaborate closely with the CFO to oversee day-to-day financial operations and derive clear analyses of business performance.
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships to optimize financial stability.
• Lead all aspects of finance, including accounting, reporting, planning, analysis, and decision-making support.
• Drive fundraising efforts and maintain investor relations to fuel organizational growth.
• Implement and maintain robust accounting systems, internal controls, and operational procedures.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, and bankers to ensure compliance.
• Direct budget preparation and forecasting to guide strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate financial and business performance, providing actionable insights to management.
• Monitor monthly performance against budget, identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage payables, receivables, and cash balances for optimal financial health.
• Oversee payroll functions and implement efficient systems and controls.
• Develop and motivate finance team members to maximize effectiveness.
• Other ad hoc and support work.

To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:

• Possess a recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA.
• Bring a minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in accounting and finance.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and effective communication across all levels.
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities with a commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and integrity.
• Thrive in a dynamic environment, showcasing exceptional organizational skills, enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to excel under pressure while meeting deadlines.
