Purpose Statement: Responsible for leading the Human Resources efforts at a single large site or multiple sites, serving as the business partner to the site leader; coaching/counseling the site leadership team in pursuit of desired site performance; developing human capital strategies for the site; leading site HR services. Influences direction and creates a vision for the HR team.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Lead site HR staff in delivering HR initiatives aligned with Corporate strategy, including staffing, training, performance management, compensation, and benefits administration. May also be responsible for HRMS administration, health, safety, and security.
- Educate and advise the leadership team on strategic HR issues and partner effectively with site management to execute strategic decisions, ensure understanding of business issues, provide clear vision and strategy to site on Talent, and identify training and development needs of associates.
- Develop and deploy recruitment strategies, manage the recruitment process and lifecycle, identify future talent needs, and proactively develop a talent pool. Provide leadership to the TA team, guide and develop the team on problem resolutions, and achieve customer excellence.
- Equip and empower the team to make decisions. Serve as a coach when problems are escalated and employees are seeking advice and need development coaching to facilitate communication with site employees.
- Own the development and achievement of site HR metrics, monitor and report on various activities like staffing effectiveness, employee satisfaction, turnover, etc. Stay updated on legal developments and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Responsible for exemplifying and holding their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. The leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 - 10+ years of experience in the related field, or a Master’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in the related field. Previous experience in a management role is required.

- In-depth understanding of the field's concepts and principles.
- Performs complex tasks and has some latitude for determining appropriate processes to follow.
- Supervision may be provided through a team of subordinate supervisors and/or managers.
- Demonstrated effective management skills and employee development background.
- Highly adaptive, change management skills.
- Strong ability to think strategically and proactively solve problems, including making timely and effective decisions in complex and ambiguous situations.
- Proven ability to influence others, including relationship-building, conflict resolution, and leadership competencies as defined by the company. Ability to lead without formal authority.
- Ability to follow through on assignments with little to no supervision. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with and influence internal and external stakeholders. Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Plexus Corp. in a professional manner.
- Ability to work both independently and in group or matrix-managed settings.
- PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
