We are looking for a passionate and committed Demi Chef to join our kitchen team at Alila Bangsar Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen team to prepare high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen hygiene, and support daily operations—while continuing to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced and inspiring environment.

Your Role in the Kitchen

• Assist in preparing and cooking food items in accordance with recipes, standards, and quality expectations.
• Support the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned station and maintaining smooth kitchen operations.
• Supervise and guide Commis Chefs in daily prep and hygiene practices.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, workstations, and equipment.
• Monitor stock rotation and minimize food wastage during preparation.
• Report maintenance issues and equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and assist other stations when needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant.
• Solid understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and food safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
• A passion for culinary excellence and a willingness to learn and grow.
