Delivery Agent

This position will be based in Uptown, Petaling Jaya.

This position’s summary:
The role of the Standalone Operations Agent is to own/manage the customer experience of customers assigned in the portfolio, mainly Intermodal & CHB product. This includes proactively monitoring and managing the end-to-end shipment process in compliance with all company procedures, ensuring that the cargo is transported as per the transport plan promised to the customer and/or that the customers is kept informed of relevant deviations.

Building relationships with the customers, understanding their business drivers should be leveraged to continuously improve cooperation and process to the mutual benefit of the customer and Maersk Group.

Key Responsibilities

Standalone delivery agent is responsible for below scope, but not limited to:

• Handling standalone customer frontings
• Bookings for standalone CHB & INT
• Preparing overall customer reports
• Coordinate COO and Back to back COO applications
• Ensuring on time customs clearance & on time delivery

In addition to:

• Actively building strong relationships with assigned customers and gain an understanding of their business, service needs, drivers and desires through every day phone/mail contact and customers visits.
• Owning overall process for shipments including but not limited to coordination of deliveries/loadings with special focus on truck transport arrangement together with internal intermodal team.
• Take ownership of reaching common team goals and KPI targets, and actively support team priorities.
• Continue upgrading of own soft and technical skills to deliver world class customer service.
• In general, actively seek out and act on continuous improvement opportunities both in relation to customers and internal / external stakeholders.

We are looking for

Required Education/Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree and Diploma holder
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in shipping, forwarding and supply chain operations
• Good exposure to INT / CHB operation knowledge
• Experience in handling Customer Service transactions/processes as well as liaising with origin and destination offices is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a plus

• Good verbal and written English skills for co-ordination with origin & destination offices, warehouse, carriers, internal stakeholders
• Able to convey effective written communication with overseas offices
• Good business knowledge/process understanding to provide a value add to the customers through effective business solutions
• Ability to work under pressure and according to standard processes
• Strong service mindset with sense of urgency
• Able to multitask effectively
• High attention to detail, critical thinker
• Team player, skilled in coordinating and working with different types of colleagues
• Agile and able to make independent decisions upon delegation
