Data Warehouse Consultant, IT Project Manager

Responsibilities

1. Oversee strategic IT project execution, ensuring seamless integration with business objectives and alignment with organizational vision.
2. Lead, mentor, and manage a pool of project managers, equipping them with the skills, methodologies, and tools necessary for successful project delivery. Lead diverse teams comprising business users, developers, testers, technical teams, vendors, and other specialists.
3. Establish and enforce standardized project management best practices, frameworks, and governance models, driving efficiency and consistency across teams.
4. Define project scope, objectives, and success metrics, developing roadmaps that outline key milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Clearly outline the project’s objectives, deliverables, and constraints, ensuring stakeholder agreement on the project’s scope and alignment with business objectives.
5. Monitor and assess project and team performance, providing coaching, support, and strategic guidance to enhance execution, delivery, and risk management.
6. Manage vendor relationships and project financials, optimizing budgets, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
7. Foster transparent communication and collaboration, ensuring stakeholders, leadership, and project teams are aligned on expectations, risks, and progress.
8. Drive continuous improvement through post-mortem evaluations, change management initiatives, and process enhancements to improve project efficiency and business impact.
9. Manage the financial aspects of a project, creating and monitoring the project budget, ensuring that expenses align with the approved financial plan, and negotiating with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs.
10. Ensure that projects comply with industry regulations and standards, implementing security measures to protect data and minimize risks associated with compliance breaches.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Good command of English (verbal and written), experience in leading cross-functional teams, and familiarity with standard Project Management Methodology & Lifecycle.
2. Proven track record of successful completion of projects.
3. Possess Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification or PRINCE2 certification or any other project management certification.
4. Strong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office Products including Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
5. Independent, proactive working attitude, results-oriented, and a strong desire to succeed.
6. Ability to swiftly address issues, identify root causes, implement corrective measures, and ensure minimal disruption to the project timeline.
7. Great leadership skills, interpersonal skills, self-motivated, customer-focused with an outgoing personality, and analytical mind.
8. Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
9. Flexible during times of change, with the ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
10. Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.

Education, Experience and Certifications

1. Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
2. Minimum 15 years working experience with at least 10 years of solid project management experience.
3. Experience in data warehouse solutions is an added advantage.
4. Well-understanding of investment and market data is an advantage.
