Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry and Cleansing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining data in our systems, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the data. This role also involves cleansing and validating data to ensure high-quality, error-free information for analytics and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Entry:
    Accurately input data from various sources (manual forms, spreadsheets, documents, etc.) into company databases and systems.
    Ensure data accuracy and completeness while following company standards and guidelines.
    Regularly update and maintain existing data in the system.
  2. Data Cleansing:
    Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, missing entries, or formatting errors.
    Conduct regular audits to clean and validate data to meet organizational standards.
    Develop and implement strategies for data cleaning processes, ensuring consistency and reliability.
  3. Data Quality Assurance:
    Maintain data integrity and adhere to best practices in data management.
    Perform data validation checks and quality assurance tasks to eliminate inaccuracies.
    Collaborate with other departments to ensure data standards are met across the organization.
  4. Reporting and Documentation:
    Generate and assist with creating reports and dashboards to monitor data quality and progress.
    Document data entry and cleansing processes and recommend improvements as necessary.
  5. Collaboration:
    Work closely with the IT team, data analysts, and other departments to ensure data accuracy and availability.
    Respond to internal requests for data and perform any necessary adjustments or corrections.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
  2. Proven experience in data entry, data management, or data cleansing roles.
  3. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  4. Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, or other data management tools.
  5. Knowledge of data validation and data cleaning techniques.
  6. Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Access) is a plus.
  7. Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  8. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
