JOB PURPOSE
Develop a thorough understanding of data acquisition, data transformation, data monitoring, data retention, data mobilization, automation, and access and change management. Manage and monitor daily and monthly data in Data & Analytics CoE data marts/EDW to ensure data availability, quality, and consistency. Consolidate, plan, and execute data acquisition, data transformation, and data mobilization activities based on requirements from Data & Analytics CoE or business units. Coordinate with the project manager to provide exceptional service to our clients; communicate with clients on a regular basis for requirements status updates and issue resolution.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Automation of repetitive reporting from the reports designed by Data & Analytics CoE.
- Automation of new data acquisition or data mobilization processes regarding Data & Analytics CoE data mart enrichment, analytics initiatives, or database campaign improvement.
- Automation of processes within pillars of Data & Analytics CoE.
- Management and continuous development of the Data & Analytics architecture and applications on behalf of Data & Analytics CoE, which covers but is not limited to the areas of:
- Day-to-day maintenance involving monitoring and assessment of server performance and capacity.
- Any upgrade/patching activities for the Data & Analytics applications for product version/patch and software upgrade.
- Any enhancement or integration initiative of Data & Analytics and infrastructure to other Affin systems.
- Managing and anticipating the operational risks available/exposed to the current Data & Analytics application and architecture.
- Coordination with IT & Vendor team regarding continuous improvement and performance stability.
- Project Management: Assist in creating project plans for small projects in conjunction with the business, manage, support, and follow up with the project team on these projects, and monitor and manage project progress.
- Collaborate with the IT team on new data sources or data fields and incorporate them into CoE data marts/EDW.
- Ensure CoE data marts/EDW and reporting batch jobs are aligned with the bank’s database batch activities.
- Collaborate with Data Governance regarding data quality, data governance, and enterprise data house development.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BSc/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in data management or data warehousing.
- Good knowledge of MS SQL and understanding of ETL Development and Talend, Airflow, and GCP applications development.
- Good understanding of data warehousing and software development design concepts.
- Familiarity with Talend, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, and Qlik architecture and environment is an added advantage.
- Industry and/or product-specific certification required.
- Expected to keep up with new technologies and apply them effectively in the existing environment.
- Must be a team player and team builder.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directing.
- Must have skills in analytical thinking, numerically strong, planning and organizing, monitoring performance, empowerment & goal setting.
- Ability to manage projects while working under pressure, have high spirit, and improve as per coaching, attitude & behavior in the office.
