Data Center Operations Technician

We are currently seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia (MY).

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Work Permit for Vendor/Engineers access to TR/CR
2. Weekend Greenzone Change activity support (Sunday - IPC 100% Turret Testing)
3. TR/CR - Physical device/rack inventory
4. Media/HDD - Quarterly/Annual Recon - Physical Scanning & recon in system
5. Physical checking for alerts
6. Escalation to local L2
7. Coordination with GCC
8. Coordination with TELCO
9. Onsite Escort Vendor for their device checking/troubleshoot
10. Activate LAN port
11. Checking & troubleshoot LAN cable at switch level for network issue for users' PC connections
12. Site support at branches for checking/escort vendor/install/decom/Telco Maintenance activity
13. Update &/or close relevant tickets
14. Smarthands Daily Health Checks
15. Update all weekday/weekend change activity in Excel file for weekly review & resources assignment
16. To raise incidents including impacted devices to GCC for pre/post device availability status
17. Start Service
18. Monitor file transfer to/from vendor
19. Monitor incoming file transfer from host
20. Health check update for RDC task
21. Tape Librarian Duty
