Data Analyst

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This role is open to both experienced professionals and motivated newcomers with strong foundational skills in data analysis. While this is primarily a remote position, the successful candidate should be willing to travel occasionally for events and meetings. Public speaking skills will be considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection and Management:
   • Collect, organize, and maintain datasets from various sources.
   • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and readiness for analysis.
2. Data Analysis and Insights:
   • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
   • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
3. Event and Presentation Support:
   • Travel to represent the organization at events, conferences, or workshops.
   • Prepare and deliver data-driven presentations or support team members in doing so.
4. Collaboration and Contribution:
   • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and provide data-driven solutions.
   • Contribute to ongoing data projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
5. Continuous Learning and Development:
   • Stay updated on the latest tools, trends, and best practices in data analysis.
   • Participate in training and mentorship opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or similar.
2. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage.
3. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
4. Effective communication skills for presenting findings to diverse audiences.
5. A degree or coursework in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Attributes:

1. Public speaking skills or experience presenting to groups is a strong advantage.
2. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or SQL is a plus.
