Job Summary: The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for protecting our organization's computer systems, networks, and data from security threats. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay current with the latest security trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
2. Monitor and analyze network traffic for security incidents and vulnerabilities.
3. Monitor and manage the security of cloud environments, ensuring compliance with security standards.
4. Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing.
5. Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.
6. Respond to and investigate security breaches and incidents.
7. Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed.
8. Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
9. Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST).
4. Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls (Fortigate), intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM (based on ELK stack), DLP).
5. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
8. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor) are a plus.
