JOB MAIN PURPOSE

The Area Sales Manager is fully accountable for all areas related to sales of Bayer Consumer Health products by focusing on driving sales growth and development of his / her assigned territories (Non-KA Channels) of coverage in Malaysia. Non-KA channels include independent pharmacies, mini chain pharmacies, wholesalers, specialty stores and Brunei The Area Sales Manager reports to Channel Head MY

YOUR KEY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Channel Head MY in Bayer CH budget preparation process by providing inputs on market environment, competition, channel growth, channel strategy and sales execution, aligned with brand strategies. Monitor and ensure strict adherence to the set budget of the year. Recommend corrective actions whenever deviations occur.
  • For his/her channel specific activation, manage the P&I budget planning & oversee spending.
  • Accurate and timely sales forecasting for his/her channels, working closely with Channel Head MY, marketing and logistics team on monthly forecast requirement. In addition, monitor stocks level in the market for proper stocks forecasting planning.
  • Plan and implements effective trade activation through close collaboration with trade marketing and marketing team to increase distribution and penetration of Bayer CH products in the market.
  • Implement CUEx POS strategy, ensure visibility and availability in his/her assigned territories of POS PGS segments.
  • Effective steering of CSO trade field force strategy. Coach and co[1]manage to sharpen the skills of the CSO trade field force with the aim to inspire and motivate the team to strive for performance. Set the standards and diligence of sales calls service.
  • Engage with key customers: Identifying and realizing the business potentials of identified BGE & KRP business partners in his / her assigned territories. To forge strong customer relationships and serve as a valued strategic business-partner to customers.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Pharmacy, Science or related area.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in sales management position in
  • related industry specifically from OTC healthcare or FMCG industry,
  • preferably with multinational company.
  • Good understanding of OTC industry with experiences managing field
  • force will be an added advantage.
  • Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills with good strategic and analytical skills.
  • Strong ability to collaborate, integrate and work effectively with cross-functional team members. Strong sense of achievement, sense of urgency to get things done; with result driven attitude.
  • Pro-active approach with focus on adding value to the business. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Good command of English.
