Credit Controller (Remote Role – Malaysian Applicants)

The Credit Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments and maintaining healthy cash flow for the company. This role requires excellent communication skills to engage with customers, negotiate payment plans, and work closely with management to strategize debt recovery. The primary focus will be on making calls to debtors, understanding their situations, and planning effective payment arrangements.

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Fridays: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Singapore Time)
• Saturdays: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Singapore Time)
• Note: Candidates must have a stable internet connection and be available during Singapore business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Outreach: Make regular calls to debtors to discuss outstanding payments and address any issues preventing timely settlements.
• Payment Planning: Collaborate with customers to develop realistic and achievable payment plans.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of communication with customers, including agreements and follow-ups.
• Strategy Development: Work closely with management to strategize and implement effective collection plans.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage prompt payments and long-term cooperation.
• Debt Recovery: Identify and escalate high-risk accounts to management for further action.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-up abilities.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setup.
• Previous experience in credit control or collections is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Accounting background will be beneficial.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in other regional languages is a plus.
