Senior Manager Eastern Region, Greater China Regional Manager

Position Summary

Primarily to support the Regional Manager Greater China in delivering sales, planning and implementation of sales initiatives, marketing plans and sales analytics with the achievement of sales targets.

Key Accountability

  • Developing Sales Strategies: Creating and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share objectives.
  • Managing Sales Team: Leading and managing a team of sales professionals to effectively promote the airline's products and services, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Building Relationships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, government agencies, and other key stakeholders to increase sales opportunities and strengthen the airline's presence in the market.
  • Negotiating Contracts: Negotiating commercial agreements, contracts, and other terms ie AFIS, hard block buy up, MHbiz Plus discounts, CUG with travel agencies, corporate clients, and other partners to ensure profitable sales arrangements for the airline.
  • Monitoring Market Trends: Keeping abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Analyzing Sales Performance: Analyzing sales data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with Marketing: Working closely with the marketing department to develop promotional campaigns, advertising initiatives, and other marketing activities to support sales efforts and enhance brand awareness.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing sales activities, including pricing regulations, fare rules, and contractual obligations.
  • Providing Customer Support: Addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints related to sales activities, and working to resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Generating sales reports, forecasts, and other relevant documentation to provide management with insights into sales performance and market trends.
  • Reporting to Eastern Regional Commercial Sales Head and Regional Manager GCHK: To respond and act on job-related action items assigned by superior in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Working Experience

  • Degree Holder in Business, Hospitality, Tourism, or related disciplines
  • 5 to 6 years of relevant Sales & marketing experience, preferably in the airlines, travel agents or related industry.

Area of Experience

  • Extensive Knowledge of airline/travel industry with experience in Sales, Marketing, Reservations & Ticketing
  • Good contact of travel agents, OTAs, corporate customer base, tourism & trade organisations
  • Able to work independently, dynamic and resourceful
  • Detail oriented, with good organizational skills i.e. Time Management, Task Management
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office 0365

Personality Traits

  • Excellent communication skills in written & spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
