About the role
As the Country General Manager (Service), you will lead a large team of experienced field service professionals, overseeing processes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency in solving client issues while optimizing manpower allocation, coaching team members, and owning standard customer agreements and service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
    • Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed targets
    • Analyze financial data, identifying trends and implement corrective actions as needed
    • Ensure effective forecasting, budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control measures to achieve business commitments
  2. Business Strategy Development:
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to formulate and implement business strategies aligned with organizational goals
    • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and threats, providing insights for strategic decision-making
    • Drive innovation and adaptability to capitalize on emerging market trends
    • Assess suitability of service operations initiatives and drive for implementation as applicable
  3. Operational Performance:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
    • Responsible for end-to-end service delivery processes including new chillers installation, warranty support, and execution of service contracts
    • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall business operations
    • Establish and maintain training and audit/assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls
    • Manage escalated quality issues and support team in issue resolution
  4. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a diverse team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
    • Identify training and development needs, supporting the professional growth of team members
    • Promote a culture of accountability, high performance, and customer-centricity
    • Optimize performance management strategies to effectively allocate workforce across multiple geographic locations.
  5. Stakeholder Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies
    • Take personal ownership of complaints from high-profile customers, conducting satisfaction investigations and establishing improvement plans
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations
    • Ensure effective communication and alignment across all levels of the organization
  6. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and company policies
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
    • Conduct periodic assessments to identify potential areas of risk and implement proactive measures
    • Drive EH&S initiatives and create EHS awareness

Requirements:
• 15 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Prior experience in the HVAC industry
• Experience in managing a team of experienced professionals
• Strong technical/product knowledge
• Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight
• Influences others regarding policies and procedures.
