Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Country General Manager to lead our operations in Malaysia. This role requires a strong finance background, proven experience in managing business units, and exceptional leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the country’s P&L, driving business growth, and ensuring the successful establishment of new offices across Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the country’s strategic plan to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
    • Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes innovation, accountability, and excellence.
    • Provide visionary leadership to inspire and motivate teams across all business units.
  • Oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with budgets and financial goals.
  • Monitor and manage the country’s P&L, including revenue, costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Business Unit Management:
    • Ensure operational efficiency and alignment with corporate goals.
    • Conduct performance reviews and implement initiatives to improve team productivity and outcomes.
  • Expansion and Growth:
    • Lead the setup of new offices across Malaysia, ensuring smooth operational launch and integration.
    • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for expansion and new revenue streams.
    • Build strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Lead the recruitment of local talent to support business operations and expansion.
    • Frequently travel across states in Malaysia to oversee operations, set up new offices, and manage teams.
    • Ensure a consistent brand and operational standard across all locations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in leading business units with demonstrated success in scaling operations.
  • Proven track record in managing P&L and achieving financial targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, guide, and motivate diverse teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Malaysia.
  • Knowledge of the Malaysian business landscape is a significant advantage.
