Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Soft Skills Trainer, to join our team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and overseeing customer service and soft skills training programs for our retail employees. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to assess training needs, develop customised programs, and drive the company's Learning & Development strategy to promote a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and assess customer service and soft skills training needs.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor training plans, schedules, and methods, including virtual, simulated, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
  • Design and evaluate internal and external training programs to meet the skill requirements of various business units.
  • Manage resources, including internal employees and training vendors, to develop and deliver effective training.
  • Conduct training sessions focused on customer service and soft skills, ensuring alignment with sales cycles and organizational priorities.
  • Prepare comprehensive training materials, using effective learning methods to maximize training impact.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Drive the Learning & Development strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term objectives.
  • Promote a positive work culture and uphold the Group’s core values through training initiatives.
  • Support business units in developing and implementing learning plans and programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging employees to take accountability for their development and performance.

Job Requirements

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies / Administration / Management / Education or relevant fields. Possess professional certification in relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Preferably at least 3 years of working experience as a soft skills trainer.
  • HRD Corp certified and accredited trainer. Otherwise, experienced in teaching or training adults would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong command of English and Malay languages in both written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to design training courses and develop relevant training materials based on training needs / competency gaps.
  • Ability to execute various learning interventions, for example on-the-job training, classroom live training and remote / virtual sessions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office includes Excel, Words and Power Point.
  • Well-organised with strong time management skills, able to perform multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel within the country on a regular basis.
