Corporate Legal Counsel

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including commercial agreements, contracts, MOUs, NDAs, and regulatory documents, ensuring that the terms and conditions are clear and legally binding.

Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations in Malaysia for the implementation of group legal and compliance policies and procedures.

Provide legal advice and support to management on corporate matters, risk mitigation, and compliance.

Liaise with external counsel for the provision of legal counsel to the management on corporate governance, compliance, and other legal issues.

Assist the company in legal disputes, manage external counsel, and assist in resolving conflicts or potential lawsuits with the cooperation of external counsel.

Assist in the development and enforcement of internal policies and governance frameworks.

Stay up to date with changes in Malaysian law, industry regulations, and global legal trends that could affect the business.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent qualification; admission to the Malaysian Bar is an advantage.

Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate or commercial law.

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.

Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken); Mandarin is an added advantage.

Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
