As Corporate Accountant, you are responsible for the reporting of Vallen Asia’s financial status. You prepare financial statements required for internal and external reporting. You collect and analyse data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with corporate and statutory reporting regulations and guidelines. You also provide support and assistance to internal and external auditors.

WHAT WILL YOU DELIVER?

1. Manage accounting & financial system, taxes and management and statutory audit reporting.
2. Financial Reporting and External Audit
   • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and procedures.
   • Liaise with external auditors for annual statutory audit matters including the finalization of statutory accounts of local and overseas subsidiaries.
3. Tax Compliance
   • Prepare current and deferred tax computations for local and overseas subsidiaries.
   • Liaise with tax agents to ensure tax compliance, including transfer pricing documentation.
4. Treasury and Banking
   • Manage treasury related tasks such as maintenance of bank mandates, bank access, etc.
   • Prepare weekly cash balance and cash forecast reporting to management.
5. Intercompany Contra and Settlement
   • Ensure proper documentation and recording of intercompany charges and settlements.
6. Systems and Process Improvement and Business Partnering
   • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
   • Participate in developing and documenting best practices of financial policies and procedures.
   • Support and coordinate the internal audit process.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
7. Others
   • Participate in the implementation of finance related projects.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
• ACCA, CPA or CA or other professional accounting accreditation
• Experience working with multiple currencies
• Strong technical accounting, analytical, project management, process improvement skills, and proficiency in spreadsheet
• Ability to manage ambiguity and apply problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills; works well both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines
• Minimum 2-3 years external auditor experience is needed
• Hands on with excellent attention to details
• Able to work under stress deadline
• Good working attitude
