Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
The Energy, Oil & Gas sales team of Maxis Enterprise Corporate division is seeking a suitable candidate to join our team as an “Account Manager” to expand its business.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Energy, Oil & Gas. As an Account Manager, you will be the single point of contact for customers under your care for all business-related matters.
What are you accountable for?
- Manage and maintain excellent business relationships with customers.
- Develop and foster relationships with new and existing Points of Contact (PIC) of customers.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities and build funnels of overall Maxis solution portfolios, converting these funnels to sales in a reasonable timeframe to achieve sales targets and help customers achieve their business goals.
- Advocate Maxis Business value proposition, pitching Maxis Core and Enterprise solution portfolio.
- Work closely with the presales team to understand customers’ business goals, assist in consultative selling, and design practical and cost-effective solutions to address customers’ pain points and business goals.
- Prepare proposals, conduct presentations, and arrange product demos/solution Proof of Concept (POC).
What do you need to have for the role?
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a corporate sales role, with a proven track record in account management and solution sales, preferably in the telecommunication or IT industry.
- Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with customers.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering professional presentations and proposals.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including presales and technical experts.
- Familiarity with the Malaysian business landscape and customer needs.
