About the job Core & Cards Support Engineer (L2)
Responsibilities:
Provide L2 support for Core & Cards applications, addressing user queries and resolving incidents promptly to meet SLAs.
Troubleshoot and analyze issues in applications hosted on JBoss or WebLogic servers.
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions to minimize incident recurrence.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to transition new releases into production.
Monitor application performance, analyze capacity requirements, and ensure systems are operating optimally.
Follow standard incident, problem, and change management processes, including detailed logging and reporting.
Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities.
Requirements:
Proficiency in
Unix/Linux
commands and
shell scripting
.
Strong knowledge of
SQL
with experience in
Oracle
or
MS SQL
databases.
Familiarity with Java application servers like
JBoss
or
WebLogic
.
Understanding of web servers such as
Apache
or
Nginx
.
Additional knowledge of Load Balancers, VM, Networking, OpenShift, and Microservices is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
