COO/General Manager [Metal Fabrication & Assembly]

We are currently looking for a General Manager for a leading player in the Metal fabrication industry with a legacy of more than 80 years in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

• Team size: Up to 400 people
• Based in Johor

The Role

• Supervise and manage production operations, including CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication, to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflow, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity.
• Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality in production operations.
• Develop and enforce quality assurance procedures and standards to maintain product quality and meet customer specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and improve overall quality performance.
• Work closely with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth and profitability.
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and industry developments to identify opportunities for business expansion and improvement.
• Make informed decisions regarding resource allocation, investment opportunities, and operational strategies to achieve company objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and effective manner.

The Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline.
• Experience in handling P&L.
• Requires a minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in Operations or Manufacturing.
• Possess working experience in CNC machining or sheet metal fabrication or assembly.
