Contract Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Drafts, prepares, reviews, revises, varies and finalises contract documents for the procurement of goods and services.
2. Prepares, reviews, varies and updates existing contracts through addendums, variations, extension and such.
3. Analyses, reviews and highlights risks associated with specific contract terms and is able to work with lawyers to propose alternate terms where necessary.
4. Negotiates contractual terms and conditions with internal and external business partners.
5. Provides contract management service to end users/ departments procuring the said materials, goods and services.
6. Reviews procurement documents for consistencies with terms of contracts or transactions.
7. Keeps abreast with major and significant developments in contracts drafting, applications, management and dispute resolution of contracts.
8. Performs administrative functions including fillings, monitoring of contract expiry, updating and maintaining supplier contract summary sheets, updating and maintaining supplier assessment and certification records, auditing of invoices versus supplier contract rates, reviewing and analysing all vendor/suppliers, supply and price options, developing plans for purchasing equipment, services and supplies and negotiating the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.

Requirements:

1. Candidates with Construction/Civil, Project Management, Quantity Survey, Engineering or Commerce degrees will be considered.
2. At least 8 years working experience in the related field.
3. Good command of spoken and written English. Working proficiency in Mandarin would be a significant advantage.
4. Working experience in procurement would be a significant advantage, particularly the ability to prepare, review, and recommend procurement documents such as tenders or requests for quotations for the supply of materials, goods and services.
5. Applicants must be willing to work in Samalaju, Bintulu Sarawak.
