Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia we have an exciting opportunity that will appeal to those with a Digital Mindset and are looking to ignite their influential skills into an innovative & global organization. We’re not looking for just anyone, we never have. We’re looking for a Contract Manager who looks beyond what is just in front of them, is instrumental in driving successful project execution through consistent and commercially sound contract lifecycle management. As a Contract Manager you will report into Regional Contract Management Leader APAC, and your mission will be to review and deal with contractual and commercial related aspects of a project ensuring compliance with policies.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiate contracts with customers and subcontractors, collaborating with opportunity leaders, procurement teams and other functions.
  • Reduce contractual risk through sound and consistent reviews.
  • Work with the project management team to develop strategies for claims and variations, ensuring project profitability.
  • Monitor project execution and actively participate in project reviews.
  • Foster a culture of best practices across the organisation.

You are someone who gets excited by innovation, embrace technology, are forward looking and have experience managing complex projects in the Energy & Utilities, Data Center, IT sector and/or Industrial Automation space.

In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience, supported by a diploma, certification, or equivalent in legal or commercial contract management.
  • Proven track record in contract management within a project environment.
  • Strong experience in contract negotiation, commercial law, and tender evaluation.
  • Strong experience with variation and change management during project execution.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • An agile and adaptable mindset, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer service.
