Content Specialist / Writer

We are looking for an enthusiastic Content Specialist / Writer who has a passion for social media and is well-versed in copywriting skills.

This role involves planning, developing, and optimizing our creative content across social media channels and websites. Find creative ways of communication to effectively reach and engage with SEGi’s target audience (students, parents, academics, and other stakeholders).

Responsibilities:

• To plan, write and create content such as short articles, social media captions, advertisement copies, and scripts daily and disseminate them through the various SEGi channels including website and social media.
• Plan, create, and manage content on platforms such as SEGi’s website, TikTok, Xiao Hong Shu, Dou Yin, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram to highlight the unique aspects of SEGi's educational programs.
• Work with a production team to create engaging, informative, and entertaining videos or creative content tailored to different digital platforms to promote SEGi's programmes, campus life, and community involvement.
• Collaborate with students, and the marketing and academic teams to develop content that aligns with SEGi's marketing missions and goals.
• Analyze performance metrics from website social media activities to optimize future content and strategies.
• Maintain a consistent and professional online presence that reflects SEGi’s values and educational standards.

Key Success Factors:

• Have a strong passion for social media, and am able to manage them well by consistently posting content, optimizing their reach, and improving performance.
• Strong command of written English (Chinese and other languages is an added advantage) and the ability to creatively find different angles to promote programmes and other related products/services.
• Strong leadership and people skills to be able to work with various stakeholders for content creation, including academics, production team, and students.

Requirements:

• A pleasant outlook with a strong command of written English, and proficiency in other languages (especially Chinese and Malay) is an added advantage.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with an ability to captivate and engage with the audience through writing and creative content.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing schedules and content needs.
• Knowledge of current social media trends and technologies, with a strategic mindset in using digital platforms to enhance educational outreach.
• Creative thinker with a knack for storytelling and presenting educational content in a relatable and exciting manner.
