Job Overview

The Content Developer cum Programme Coordinator should work with the Chief Executive/Academic Head/Coordinator and the other members of the faculty to ensure smooth implementation and successful execution of the assigned programme. The Programme Coordinator also needs to ensure the programme is carried out to the highest possible standards, adhere to the evaluation and monitoring procedures, and comply with the regulations and standards (i.e., MQA and other relevant accreditation and regulatory bodies).

Key Responsibilities

Programme Development Stage

  1. To focus on Content Development for Discipline Core Module within the stipulated timeline.
  2. To promote and represent the programme both internally and externally.
  3. To focus on obtaining MQA Provisional Accreditation for the programme within stipulated timeline.
  4. To foster collaborative efforts in building partnerships with local and international agencies/industrial partners/associations.

Programme Management Stage
  1. Act as the focal reference point for lecturers and students on the assigned programme.
  2. Constantly monitoring the students’ academic performance.
  3. Take care of matters related to facilities used by programme (if any).
  4. Ensure the programme is carried out to the highest possible standards and adhere to the evaluation and monitoring procedures inclusive of internal and external auditing, quality assurance, and risk management procedures.
  5. Keep up-to-date with developments from MQA, MOHE, and other accreditation and regulatory bodies on issues related to the programme.
  6. Continuously review and update (if necessary) the programme’s curriculum.
  7. To look for new and potential industrial partners and to maintain a close relationship with all industrial partners.
  8. Consistently interact with external examiners regarding programme matters.
  9. Ensure that the assigned programme maintains a score of at least 75.0% for student evaluation.
  10. Assist with the preparation and delivery of the lectures.
  11. Provide supervision, grading of posting and industrial training students (if any).
  12. Ensure that exam papers are prepared, moderated, and submitted to the exam unit on time and are of good quality.
  13. Ensure that all lecturers complete the marking of assessments on time.
  14. Ensure that all students' attendance (for all lectures within the programme) is updated on a daily/weekly basis.
  15. Prepare and submit the required reports to the Chief Executive/Academic Head/Coordinator promptly.

Education, Skills and Experiences

Candidates must have at least a Master’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management OR an MBA with Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management and/or any related sub-specialty.

Candidates with a PhD, full Professor, or Associate Professor recognition will be given preferential consideration.

Industry/Additional Experience In
  1. Proficiency in using SAP & cargowise.
  2. Airport/Shipping/port management/Maritime management/Supply Chain or logistics.
  3. Technology and digital transformation initiatives such as automation, analytics, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and e-commerce.
  4. Business improvement and transformation initiatives such as process improvement, supply chain network optimization, sustainable logistics.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Able to foster collaborative efforts in building partnerships with local and international agencies/industrial partners.
  2. Able to maintain and develop strong and viable undergraduate and professional programmes, and to maintain programmes accreditation.
  3. Have the ability to articulate a clear vision for the faculty’s future and develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for the faculty.
  4. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  5. Having a strong skill set in the English Language is a must.
  6. Able to hold fiscal responsibility and have the ability to manage budgets.
  7. Must have proven leadership and management/supervisory experience.
