Situated on 4.3 acres on Penang Island with direct beach access, our campus features modern facilities designed to enhance teaching and learning. These include a 530-seat auditorium, music practice rooms, a dance studio, fully equipped science labs, two libraries, an Astroturf field, a 25-metre swimming pool, a learner pool, and innovative classrooms.

Computer Science/ ICT Teacher Summary of Responsibilities:

• Teach Computer Science and ICT across various year groups, including A Level.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Inspire pupils to think critically and creatively about technology and its applications.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computer science curriculum.
• Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through related activities and initiatives.
• Actively participate in all weekly Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions and department meetings to support professional growth.

Person Specification – Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Computer Science at A Level is essential.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.
• A commitment to the pastoral care and development of pupils.

Preferred Knowledge, Understanding, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Patience and empathy towards students.
• Enjoy working with students.
• Has a sense of humour to make classes fun and enjoyable.
• Good team player, able to work well as part of a team.
