As a Communications Executive, you will play a key role in shaping Gobi’s brand presence, managing external and internal communications, and driving engagement with stakeholders across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations & Media Engagement
- Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and company announcements.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers.
- Monitor media coverage and track key industry trends relevant to Gobi.
Content Creation and Brand Storytelling
- Oversee the planning, writing, and distribution of Gobi’s monthly newsletter.
- Work with internal teams to highlight portfolio companies, investments, and key initiatives.
- Contribute to the development, writing, and editing of Gobi’s Annual Reports.
Events Planning & Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Gobi-hosted events, including conferences, and networking sessions. Work with partners and stakeholders on collaborative events and sponsorship opportunities.
- Provide comprehensive coverage for events, ensuring Gobi’s activities are well-documented and communicated to relevant audiences.
- Develop event timelines, budgets, and marketing materials to ensure smooth execution.
- Oversee post-event reporting, compiling insights and engagement metrics to assess event success.
Graphic Design & Visual Communication (Bonus)
- Create basic graphic assets for social media, newsletters, and reports.
- Use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva to design marketing materials, infographics, and presentations.
- Work with the marketing team on branding, campaigns, and event materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of proven experience in the business, finance, and media industry.
- Experience in ESG, venture capital and the technology startup sector is an advantage.
- Strong connections with regional and local press.
- Good leadership and project management skills.
- Proven work experience as a Business or Financial Writer, or in a similar role.
- Ability to generate fresh ideas and maintain an open mind.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Solid time-management skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
