Job Purpose and Impact
The Commercial Operations Specialist will be responsible for collaborating and working closely on a daily basis with a diverse set of partners ranging from supply chain, plant operations, etc., with a common purpose of ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time, in full - every day.
The Commercial Operations Specialist will embrace a Customer 1st mindset to find the right balance between optimizing cost for Cargill through our assets (plant, warehouse, ocean freight, and land transport) as well as driving customer experience by ensuring orders are fulfilled as per our contractual agreements, POs, demand forecast & customer inventory.
Key Accountabilities
Work with Customer Operations Team Lead to execute a common supply chain customer strategy in partnership with commercial, product line, and across supply chain, developing deep trust-based relationships with diverse partners in SEA and beyond, including other regions (US, EU, China, India, etc.) ranging from export teams, product line, customer service, and supply chain.
Coach and mentor less experienced members of the team, fostering a mindset of continuous career development through learning, job scope evolution, and career progression.
Analyze customer experience insights and analytics, turning customer feedback and pain points into meaningful solutions and outcomes, especially focused on product and packaging quality, delivery experience, etc., working closely with plant operations and food safety and quality teams.
Coordinate communication for customers with plants located within/outside of SEA regarding order status, sales forecast, invoices, contract balances, shipment availability, or whenever our plants are undergoing a crisis and priority-based allocations are made.
Partner with Customer Operations Team Lead to deploy growth opportunities in and across the full value chain by understanding customer specialized requirements (warehouse solutions, heating and tolling facilities, packaging and transportation requirements) and translating this into compelling projects for supply chain organization to innovate and explore.
Provide input and feedback on continuous improvement projects focusing on cost savings or optimization opportunities within supply chain (e.g., ocean freight, demurrage and detention, stock health management), delivering savings to Cargill whilst improving our margins, and actively involve in the sales and operations execution process, representing the customer in discussions together with supply planning, product line, plant operations, and bringing key insights (e.g., sales order on hand, real-time demand forecast, challenges around deliveries and transport).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years of related work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One year experience working within an operations team, in a fast-paced environment.
Developing and maintaining strong, collaborative customer relationships through proactive engagement.
Executing order processing & order fulfillment activities from the end-to-end order management process.
Prior experience gained in a Supply Chain or Logistics role, working within a supply planning or logistics team will be an added advantage.
