Job Overview

The role of the commercial data analyst is to support the commercial team on data reporting and analysis. This includes reviewing data from internal and external sources (Nielsen, Euromonitor, Kantar, scan sales etc.), interpreting data into meaningful insights, to support the commercial team on making informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the commercial team on regular updates on business performance, which includes daily, weekly, monthly sales and execution reports.
  2. Support the commercial planning and sales team on promotion strategies and post promotion evaluation, business reviews and ad hoc analyses.
  3. Support the leadership team on reporting and analyses, such as monthly BIG closing reports, BP, ad hoc analyses.
  4. Support Singapore team on monthly incentive target setting, result tabulation and submission for payroll.
  5. Work closely with other functions (e.g. CDE, RTM, Finance, Sales) to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  6. Continuously improve reporting efficiency and relevance, e.g. report automation, refreshing reports to reflect relevant metrics according to business needs.

Requirements

  1. Ideally 1-2 years of related experience, open to fresh graduates.
  2. Strong analytical skills. Capable of reading between the many lines of complex databases to extract meaningful insight by spotting trends and opportunities.
  3. Proficient in identifying trends and correlations within extensive and intricate datasets.
  4. Effective in data storytelling, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficient in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  6. Experience with Nielsen and Power BI is preferred.
  7. Understanding of P&L structure is advantageous.
  8. Ability to quickly learn in a dynamic environment and adapt to various ad hoc requests.
  9. Meticulous attention to detail.
  10. Open to a 1-year contract (Renewable).
