Get to Know Our Team:

As part of the Security team for the Grab Cloud platform, one of the largest deployments in the region, your core mission is to safeguard Grab, our consumers, and partners from internal and external threats. We identify, look for, and manage threats, enhancing our defenses.

Get to Know the Role:

We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to take a lead on the infrastructure security engineering projects. You will report into the Engineering Manager and be based onsite in Malaysia. We believe you have cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, integration, and development skills. This role is required because we are expanding our regional infrastructure security capabilities. In return, you will work with a great team working on complex architectures and managing cloud security of one of the largest cloud deployments in the region.

The Critical Tasks You will Perform

• Develop public cloud services on AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Take ownership of your code by making it readable, maintainable, and well-tested, while following Operational Excellence (OE) standards.
• Conduct code reviews, providing clear, applicable feedback and responding constructively to feedback from peers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, ensuring constant communication with the working team and delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

What Skills You will Need

• Proficiency in deploying public cloud services AWS or Azure or GCP.
• 1+ years of experience with software engineering principles, clean architecture and design patterns.
• Expertise in algorithms and data structures, backed by practice in a professional setting.
• Willingness to work in either a specialized front-end or full-stack role, with the ability to handle backend technologies such as Golang or Python if required, with experience in backend development.
