The Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer is a key contributor to our technology team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the bank's cloud and infrastructure solutions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our digital banking services.

Job Summary

The Infrastructure/Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the bank's cloud and infrastructure solutions, ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our digital banking services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions.
2. Collaborate with development and operations teams to define cloud architecture requirements and ensure smooth integration with existing systems.
3. Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and security.
4. Implement automation and configuration management tools to streamline deployment and operations processes.
5. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, addressing any issues and ensuring maximum uptime.
6. Conduct regular security assessments and implement appropriate measures to protect data and systems.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud best practices and standards.
8. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our cloud infrastructure and recommending adoption where appropriate.
9. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.
10. Document cloud infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. 2-3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
3. In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
4. Proficiency in deploying and managing virtualized environments, containers, and serverless architectures.
5. Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices for cloud environments.
6. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
7. Familiarity with scripting and automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
10. Relevant cloud certifications, such as Azure Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are a plus.
