Role Description

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at SOCOE in Kuching. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will monitor system performance, optimize configurations, and ensure that our cloud services run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement AWS cloud infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements
• Configure, manage, and maintain AWS services including compute, storage, and networking
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and fine-tune cloud environments for optimal performance
• Ensure security best practices are followed, including implementing IAM policies, VPC, and other AWS security services
• Automate deployment processes and infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.
• Collaborate with DevOps, software development, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless cloud integration
• Provide technical support for cloud-based applications and services, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise
• Keep up to date with the latest AWS services and cloud technology trends to enhance system architecture
• Document processes, architectures, and configurations for cloud solutions

Qualifications

• Expertise in AWS cloud architecture design and services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) or equivalent experience
• Strong experience in AWS configuration and management, including performance monitoring and fine-tuning
• Familiarity with Linux systems, networking concepts, and database management
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Relevant certifications in AWS (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, etc.) are a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
