We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Client Onboard Analyst 1 (Hybrid) (Internal Job Title: Client Onboard Analyst 1 - C09) based in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you’re expected to:

  1. Process client’s requests related to documents review including signatories’ updates and documentation lodgment.
  2. Provide detailed responses to internal inquiries.
  3. Apply appropriate bank regulations while processing the requests.
  4. Remain up to date with current procedures, internal rules, external regulations, and follow changes in the aforementioned documents.
  5. Document operation procedure updates.
  6. Process requests ensuring the highest accuracy and effectiveness (ensuring deadlines are adhered to).
  7. Verify and authorize data entered in the systems.
  8. Ensure all queries are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.
  9. Escalate urgent/risk issues through the appropriate escalation channels.
  10. Co-operate and support other teams/employees upon supervisor’s instruction, including the possibility of movement to another team and/or process.
  11. Perform other crucial tasks instructed by supervisors, e.g., participation in training, projects, conference calls, systems testing.
  12. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through strong product, process, and client knowledge. Identify and suggest process improvements.
  13. Assist in the implementation of validated process improvements.
  14. Understand procedures and controls for operational processes. Support Manager with quality assurance process.
  15. Execute day-to-day responsibilities, as well as any other work instructed by supervisor related to this function.
  16. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  1. Previous experience in financial services preferred.
  2. Knowledge of bank products in the scope of opening and maintaining bank accounts.
  3. Customer communication experience (internal/external).
  4. Knowledge in the field of finances and banking.
  5. Flexibility, team spirit, loyalty, and high attention to detail.
  6. Good PC skills (Excel, Word).
  7. Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  8. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  9. Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.

The Client Onboard Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures, and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.
