We currently have an exciting opportunity and are looking to recruit a Client Manager (Auditor) for Sustainability.
About the role
We have key positions available for this role as a Client Manager (Auditor) in Sustainability to build a strong team of professionals at a country level. Applicants will be part of a dynamic team of specialists to conduct various types of audits and work closely with BSI clients to help them improve their performance by assessing their systems and processes against ISO and BSI standards. Your key responsibilities in this role will be to:
- Play a pivotal role in auditing their organization or products to evaluate the performance of an organization about its sustainable development goals.
- Conducting Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) assessments to help businesses look at supply-chain risks, risk management capabilities, and transparency with shareholders.
- Prepare assessment reports and deliver findings to clients to ensure client understanding of the assessment decision and clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate.
- Conduct various types of audits as a Team Leader or Team Member.
- Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates, and report recommendations by BSI policy, procedures, and prescribed time frame.
- Maintain overall account responsibility and accountability for nominated accounts to ensure an effective partnership, whilst ensuring excellent service delivery and account growth.
- Lead assessment teams as required ensuring that team members are adequately briefed so that quality of service is maintained and that effective working relationships are sustained both with clients and within the team.
- Provide accurate and prompt information to support services, working closely with them to ensure that client records are up to date and complete and that all other internal information requirements are met.
- Coach colleagues as appropriate especially where those members are inexperienced assessors or unfamiliar with clients' business/technology and assist in the induction and coaching of new colleagues as requested.
- Plan/schedule workloads to make best use of own time and maximize revenue-earning activity.
- Build great relationships, learn about their business and products, and with your audits allow them to achieve a state of enhanced and sustainable Information Resilience.
- Be responsible for delivering BSI’s audit services to assigned clients in accordance with all our scheme and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely, cost-effective service delivery that satisfies our customer needs.

About you
For this role, we are looking for someone who has the following experience and expertise:
To be successful in this role you need to thrive in a process-driven, fast-paced, customer-focused environment and can make impartial decisions, quickly and efficiently, based on facts. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail. You must be self-motivated and can remain calm whilst managing numerous priorities. Good IT and systems skills are essential.
You will also be required to have:
- Professional education or training to an equivalent level of tertiary education level in Environmental/Social/Safety/Legal or similar field preferred with proven experience.
- Experience in working full time in practical workplace experience in any relevant industry.
- Existing qualified Lead Verifier/Verifier for any related 3rd party or industry requirements with experience in conducting and delivering verification assessments and SRA on schemes such as ISO14064-1, ISO14067, PAS2060, Carbon Footprint, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Supply chain, CSR, and work experience in a Verification Company identified in Green House Gas Verification Legislation would be added advantage.
- Proven knowledge of how a business operates to ensure appropriate interpretation of management system standards (i.e. ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001, ISO37106, etc.).
- Demonstrate thorough technical knowledge to be able to interpret the language of the client’s organization.
- Learning ability to keep up with changes to business, industry, management thinking, and developing assessment styles.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills, as well as energy, passion, and commitment.
It is essential that you are qualified in a minimum of three (3) of the below standards. This is a pre-requisite to be considered for these roles:
- ISO 14001 (EMS)
- ISO 45001 (OHSMS)
- ISO 50001 (EnMS)
- ISO 20121 (Sustainable Event Management)
- ISO 14064-1
- PAS 2060
