About the role

CI Medini Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to join our construction project in Medini Johor. As a Clerk of Works, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of this contract project. This is a contract position with opportunities for extension based on performance.

What you'll be doing

• Monitor and oversee all day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant codes and regulations
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and construction methods to identify and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain detailed records of site activities, progress, and any deviations from the agreed plan
• Liaise closely with the project management team, contractors, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot problems and implement corrective actions
• Prepare regular progress reports and documentation to support project decision-making
• Assist in the coordination of health, safety, and environmental compliance on site

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Clerk of Works or similar construction site supervision role
• Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Strong working knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality control procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse project stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, pay close attention to detail, and make sound judgements
• Familiarity with relevant construction regulations, codes, and safety requirements
